Marshfield – Principal Robert Keuther will install the Marshfield High School Key Club for the 2009-2010 school year on Thursday, Nov. 5.
The incoming membership roster includes 174 students from all classes. Many Key Club officers attended leadership training at Marshfield High School during the leadership summit held in August.
In addition, on Nov. 14, Marshfield High School will host the Greater Boston leadership training conference at the high school. Many schools in the area will be sending district officers to train new Key Club members from area schools.
Key Club members recently provided support for the Boys & Girls Club of Marshfield haunted house and hayride. Community groups and elementary schools requesting Key Club assistance should send e-mail to Joan M. Wool at jwool@mpsd.org for the required paperwork.
October 2009
Hi Everyone … wanted you to know that Dick had spinal fusion surgery on October 27th at Brigham & Women’s Hospital in Boston. He has been in the hospital since October 20th. Following surgery, he was placed in the Intensive Care Unit and still remains there at this time. He has had some issues since being in ICU … fever and difficulty breathing. He was given a CAT scan to be sure there were no blood clots anywhere. Fever has disappeared, thankfully. He has been on a breathing tube for several days. They are still removing secretions from his lungs, but, hoping he can come off the breathing tube perhaps tomorrow. The staff are keeping him very well medicated and sleeping all of the time so that his body can rest…he is really “out of it” right now. The doctors and nurses have been wonderful. I will keep you posted from time to time. Lots of prayers surely would be most appreciated.
Fondly, Edie Barzelay
